Doha Asian Games Organising Committee gets international support
These were good news for everybody in Qatar. The Doha Asian Games Organising Committee (Dagoc) has received a major endorsement for its efforts in planning the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006.
Indeed, these news follows a visit to Doha by a delegation from the Guangzhou Asian Games Organising Committee (Gagoc) which is preparing for the 16th Asian Games in 2010. In fact, Gagoc thanked its Doha hosts for their hospitality and impressive organisation for Doha 2006.
"We are absolutely impressed by your well planned, well organised preparation and operation of the 15th Asian Games, quoted a letter to Abdulla Khalid Al Qahtani, Director General of Dagoc.
Is good to read this lines: "We are firmly convinced that the 15th Asian Games Doha 2006 will be a great success."
The delegation announced that they had learnt much from their trip, including a tour of venues such as Athletes’ Village, which will house 10,500 athletes and officials during the December 1-15th event.
Dagoc has received letters from National Olympic Committees and sports federations the world over and this is yet another sign that Doha 2006 enjoys world-wide support.
