Vietnam to send 246 athletes to the Games
Vietnam has a great passion for the sports and they will prove it in the Asian Games. In fact, they will send 354 officials, coaches, doctors and athletes (246 athletes) to the 15th forthcoming Asian Games in Doha, Qatar, this December, according to a local publication.
A newspaper said Minister and Chairman Nguyen Danh Thai of the National Committee for Physical and Sports signed a decision to send 246 athletes to the Asian Games. Accordingly, Vietnam will have seven athletes competing in weightlifting, six in bodybuilding, seven in gymnastics, ten in rowing, nine in canoeing, 21 in shooting, six in trap and skeet shooting, five in boxing, six in judo, 11 in fencing, eight in wresting, four in cycling, 13 in taekwondo, eight in karatedo, three in chess, 12 in wushu, nine in billiards and snooker, four in badminton, four in tennis, eight in table tennis, 16 in sepak takraw, 12 in women’s volleyball, three in swimming, four in diving, four in golf, 20 in men’s football and 18 in women’s football. The passion of the sports in heating up everyday.
